The Progress of The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB, and Malaria

Although we live in one of the best periods in human civilization in terms of health and wealth there are still millions of people suffering from curable/maintainable diseases such as Tuberculosis, Malaria, and HIV/AIDS.

When looking at the top causes of death in low income nations these diseases are still the cause of most deaths.  In my opinion it is our collective moral obligation of provide access to cheap life-saving vaccines to everyone as quick as possible.

The Global Fund was created in 2002 under the goal of collecting public funds to “attract and disburse additional resources to prevent and treat HIV and AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria.”[1]

Since 2002, over 54 government have contributed $30 billion dollars for this cause to countries and communities in need.
